Stone Glossary
Tablerock Sandstone
A buff to gray sandstone that is hand-pitched (cut with a hammer and chisel) at the quarry into squares and rectangles. Because of the hand cutting, it is relatively expensive; however, it covers more wall area per ton than most stones, and there is very little waste. Available in 4-, 6-, and 8-inch-thick blocks.
Download a printable PDF (portable document format) cut sheet with photos of this stone.
